They honestly make my day every time I read them :) Well anyway, I want to know what you really like reading. Do you like the recipes, advice, or maybe stories? or maybe you like it when I post pictures and then make a connection to it? What don't you like about my blog? Whatever it is, I want to know! I want to make my blog the best it can be, and the only way to do that is to listen to you! So please comment on this post or comment on my blog! Thanks for following me!

I think this is amazing, and I truly hope that many people can look at this and be inspired from your story. Keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog, Allison! My daughter is almost six years old and allergic to dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut, fish, sunflower seeds and coconut as well as various animals and has seasonal allergies. It's nice for me to be able to read your blog and understand more about how she must feel. Keep up the excellent work. Educating others about the reality and impact of food allergies is so important!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm here for! I'm trying to help others by letting them apply my experiences to their life! I'm glad to know it's working!
DeleteI'm new to the whole food allergy world. We almost lost our 21 month old baby girl, Felicity when she was 14 months old due to 4 peanut butter flavored cheerios. That's all it took and she went into anaphalactic shock. They gave her a scratch test and she was positive for peanuts, tree nuts, and eggs, Your egg sub. recipe is great...can't wait to try it. I started a page on Facebook in my daughter's honor called Team Felicity's Food Allergy Awareness page. I'm trying to help educate and bring about awareness. My family will even be walking in the FAAN Walk for awareness her in Va Beach in November. I find it difficult to reach people sometimes though. People who don't have food allergies or don't know any one with food allergies have no idea how hard it is. They don't know what it's like to be in the grocery store and extra hour just because you are reading labels and then read them all again just to doulbe check. It's am extremely difficult life and you are very brave for doing this blog. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that you ever came close to losing your child. That is something a parent should never have to go through. As soon as those peanut butter cheerios came out, my mom was scared for anyone that has young children with food allergies. A child isn't able to tell the difference between the two, it's just too dangerous a product! I'm glad you've been able to recover from such a horrid experience in such a positive way! I want to be a part of the FAAN walk but my family is going to be away that weekend, so I'm not able to attend! I know how you feel when you try to get people to understand about food allergies, it can be hard. But just know that as your daughter grows, it will become easier on her and you! Good luck to your whole family!

ReplyDeleteI am a mother of two ; one has severe nut allergies. I have created a page on facebook called "PTO Moms ( food allergy group)" to help other parents cope with and get advise on food allergies in school. Creating this blog is excellent because so far, I have not seen anything like this done by a teenager. This will hopefully help many young adults and pre-teens that are suffering from food allergies. Good luck and keep up the great work on your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm pleased to know that I'm reaching people! I've seen a lot of allergy blogs written by adults so I wanted to come up with something new and original, and so far its been working out great! Thank You again!
